Event Review: Its a crazy, mixed up, mashed up, collage of a world...
Recently i went to one night vernissage at the art project space in the LES called Artjail. Great space, tons of work, interesting event. Normally when i see a large, art-a-go-go type of an event i am very apprehensive of the quality to be viewed. While there was still some uneven quality, overall i was impressed. In short, i noticed an overwhelming curatorial bent toward collage and mixed media which is perfectly in keeping with our worlwide mashup, HuffPost content-appropriating trend. A couple of Emerging Artist names to remember:
- Ginna Triplett
- Susan Hamburger
- Lilliana Pereira
- Norma Markley
